The NAFB was founded in 1944 as the National Association of Radio Farm Directors (NARFD). It added Television to its name in 1955 to become NATRFD. The next name change came in 1964 to simply, NAFB. Most recently in 2005, the name was changed to the National Association of Farm Broadcasting.
NAFB is dedicated to serving the interest of the agricultural community and creating value for its Broadcast member stations and networks. NAFB is an established liaison between farm broadcast stations and networks and the Agri-Marketing community of companies and agencies.
Members of NAFB are in multiple categories. The 'Directory' section in the Membership menu shows Broadcast Council, Management Council, Allied Industry Council, Student and other members.
