Today’s Ag Broadcasting: Delivering Value through Relevancy and Trust

In a marketing world that is driven by clicks, likes and page views, it’s often difficult to know if you’re really breaking through the clutter to deliver something that rural audiences value. Farm radio listenership studies commissioned by NAFB continue to confirm that ag radio delivers the content that is VALUED by farmers, ranchers and rural audiences. Farm broadcasting is localized, relevant and it’s delivered in the moment by credible and trusted broadcast professionals.

Research is showing that farm broadcasters are among today’s most relied-upon ag influencers. While farmers and ranchers rely on a variety of sources to get their news and information, ag broadcasting continues to be the leading daily source of farm news for weather, markets and local/regional ag reporting.

In the end, listening to farm radio does lead to clicks. In fact, 58 percent of farm radio listeners have visited a website after hearing advertising messages on the radio, and it’s even higher for younger farmers – 71 percent. NAFB is digging deeper into these data points as we prepare a more comprehensive research study to be released in 2025.
