Former Farm Broadcaster Joins Osborn Barr As Public Relations Direction

FORMER FARM BROADCASTER JOINS OSBORN BARR AS PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR…The Osborn Barr mission is to be agriculture and rural America’s greatest advocate, but today, there is a growing societal pressure facing agriculture. One way Osborn Barr (O+B) is growing is by adding Josh St.Peters, an award-winning broadcaster, strategist and communicator, as its director of public relations.  Josh moves to Osborn Barr from DuPont Pioneer’s Global Public Affairs team, where he led issues management and crisis communications efforts. While at Pioneer, he also held leadership positions on the North American Marketing team and in one of the company’s largest commercial business units.  “The public relations discipline plays a big role in the success of Osborn Barr,” said Michael Turley, CEO at O+B. “Josh’s work has helped shape the story of several iconic brands in our business, and we’re excited to welcome him to our amazing team.”  Prior to Pioneer, Josh was as an award-winning broadcaster with Brownfield Ag News and RFD Radio. He reported on the top issues for North American growers from farm policy to grain markets and international trade. He also served as Director of Farm Information for Illinois Farm Bureau, contributing to communication campaigns on agriculture and public policy matters at the state and national level.  A native of southern Illinois, he earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications from the University of Illinois and recieved a Masters of Agribusiness from Kansas State University.  “I came to the O+B public relations team after nearly 15 years crisscrossing the industry in some of the coolest jobs a small-town kid could ever dream about. My experience includes stints as a local radio broadcaster and network farm reporter, in addition to more than a handful of assignments on nationally syndicated radio and television programs.” He added, “I have a deeply rooted passion for finding and telling the stories of rural America — which makes O+B the perfect fit for me.”
