Recognizing new farm broadcasters who show promise in the industry is what the Horizon Award is all about. The award was established in 1995 and serves to recognize farm broadcasters with less than five years of membership. It is an honor to publicly acknowledge new broadcasters not only for their dedication to the field of broadcast, but also for the new perspectives and passion they bring to our organization.

The Horizon Award is sponsored by Syngenta.

When submitting your nomination, please indicate the nominee's excellence in the following areas:
- On-air broadcasting (including news, markets, weather, or special reports)
- Leadership in broadcast programming, promotion, and marketing at station/network
- Community involvement and leadership
- NAFB involvement

Each individual nominated is reviewed for eligibility and then asked to provide more information about themselves in the application. The NAFB Awards Committee will determine the recipient of the award.

Please enter the name of a current NAFB Broadcast Council member you are nominating for the Horizon Award.
Please give a summary of the reasons why this person should be considered for this award. Feel free to share background information or a brief biography.
