What is your dream vacation spot?
My dream vacation spot is Germany. I’d love to return and experience its mix of history, culture, and landscapes again, from exploring castles and historic cities to visiting the countryside and learning more about its agricultural traditions. Germany also has deep roots in sustainability and renewable energy, which ties into my own interests in agriculture and biofuels. Plus, the food, festivals, and opportunity to see a different perspective on farming and rural life make it a place I’ve always adored.
What is your favorite podcast or book that you would recommend to others?
One of my favorite books that I always recommend to others is Atomic Habits by James Clear. It’s a practical but powerful guide on how small, consistent changes can lead to big results over time. I like it because the ideas are simple enough to apply to everyday life, whether that’s studying, health, or work, but the impact is long-term and transformative. Clear also makes the concepts really actionable, with strategies for building good habits, breaking bad ones, and staying consistent. I’ve found it motivating both personally and professionally, and I think anyone could take something useful away from it.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is one where I can combine advocacy with my passion for Midwestern agriculture by working directly with farmers. I want to be in a role where I can listen to producers, understand their challenges, and help provide solutions, whether through markets, conservation, or new technologies. Being able to bridge the gap between farmers and the broader agricultural industry excites me because it allows me to make a direct impact on the people who feed and fuel our world while championing the future of rural communities.
