After 17 years with the network, Randy Koenen retired from the Red River Farm Network on July 1, 2025.
"The best part about the network is the people, the people we're serving, our farmer listeners and the businesses," Randy says. "It's a fun family all the way around."
Before radio, Randy farmed in the Clara City, Minnesota area. There were stints in radio in Willmar, Minnesota and West Point, Negraska, before he made the move to RRFN. Randy also gave back to the industry as president of NAFB in 2008.
In retirement, he will still help RRFN on a project basis, including this year's Big Iron Farm Show.
On behalf of everyone at the Red River Farm Network and the farm broadcasting industry, Randy's voice will be missed on the airwaves each day. Everyone at RRFN and NAFB wish Randy and Deb nothing but the best in the future.
