Shannon Higgins has joined the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) as the Events Manager. She is a 2014 University of Missouri graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management. Shannon spent two years as a chapter consultant for Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc., working with local chapters on event planning, and more. Shannon most recently worked for the Savannah Food & Wine Festival as the Assistant Director, where she planned, coordinated and executed 30 plus events annually.
“Shannon’s experience with event planning, and coordination made her a natural fit for the position,” says Tom Brand, NAFB Executive Director. “We are looking forward to having Shannon on the NAFB team; members will appreciate her experience, and energy for planning upcoming NAFB events.”
Shannon is jumping into her role, and helping to finalize plans and details for NAFB Washington Watch in two weeks.
“NAFB has such a huge impact on the agriculture industry,” says Shannon. “I’m thrilled to be joining an incredible group of people, and to be part of the NAFB family.”
