Stephanie Hoff is a proud, small town Wisconsin native. She claims making hay with antique equipment, castrating piglets, and accidentally letting the bull out of the gate builds great character. Hoff took those valuable experiences and farm work ethic to UW-Madison where she earned a communications degree. After a year and a half of journalistic work, she began her farm-broadcasting career with Mid-West Farm Report Radio Network in 2021 and joined NAFB. Hoff attended Leadership NAFB in 2022 and served on the 2023 Washington Watch Committee. She and her husband Conway live in Madison. I am running for West Region Vice President because I want to have a say in the future of my career. It’s no secret that commercial radio is under financial pressure. It’s no secret that farm broadcasters have tight margins. I believe that what drives 99 percent of our region’s broadcasters is that we want to give back to an industry that we love. While that passion is honorable, and may be the reason we wake up in the morning and grind ourselves to the bone, I don’t think it’s enough for the next generation. I want to lead the West Region because I want to learn together how to ensure financial viability in our shops, so that we can attract and retain talent to continue the vital work of reporting on rural and agricultural news, and continue the legacy that is farm broadcasting.
