Young Member Q&A: Carson Horn, Radio Oklahoma Network

Q: Hey, Carson! Could you introduce yourself?
A: My name is Carson Horn and I am with the Radio Oklahoma Network. I just came on as the Associate Farm Director underneath Ron Hays and I am fairly new at the radio game.

Q: What motivated you to join the NAFB this year?
A: I have understood that it is a great networking opportunity among business professionals in radio industry and I looked forward to attending the program to learn all I could, being new to the radio business.

Q: What has been your experience so far?
A: I just got here and I walked in, got introduced, and had a warm welcome from everyone. I am excited to see what the week holds.

Q: What is the value of NAFB membership to you?
A: I use it every day. The radio services given to us as far as story content, has been very helpful to me.

Q: What career goals do you have?
A: I am currently understudying with Ron and he has just been a great teacher. It has been a great learning experience and totally an eye opening thing for me. For right now, I will just put my nose to the grindstone, work, and serve the rural communities.

Q: How is NAFB helping you reach your goals?
A: Like I said earlier, I use NAFB every single day at work to develop stories. They have been my eyes and ears in countries I cannot be.
