Since 1969, NAFB has recognized distinguished broadcasters with the Farm Broadcaster of the Year award. It is given to individuals who have proven their abilities in broadcasting, have shown true commitment to the industry through their actions and their promotional efforts, and have shown leadership in the industry and within their communities. It is perhaps the most coveted award in our industry.

The Farm Broadcaster of the Year is sponsored by Syngenta.

When submitting your nomination, please indicate the nominee's excellence in the following areas:
- On-air broadcasting (including news, markets, weather, or special reports)
- Leadership in broadcast programming, promotion, and marketing at station/network
- Community involvement and leadership
- NAFB involvement and leadership

Each individual nominated is reviewed for eligibility and then asked to provide more information about themselves in the application. The NAFB Awards Committee will determine the recipient of the award.
