Summer months are key planning periods for advertising agencies, and the NAFB Planner is helping connect interested advertisers with NAFB stations and networks. Recent research results from Winter Wave 1 Study are available on This data release is the first of the four studies taking place this year. We anticipate having Wave 2 data available early August. A few key points from the Winter Wave 1 Study are:

  • 83 percent of farmers and ranchers listen to farm radio
  • 83 percent of farmers and ranchers listen to the radio multiple days per week
  • Age doesn't impact listening habits
  • Local farm broadcasters are highly rated on providing accurate information, 8.2 on a 10-point scale

In addition to the year-long study being conducted by Millennium Research, NAFB added questions to the 2015 Ag Media Research in the Non-Corn Belt areas. We anticipate having data from AMR in July, and it will be added to the NAFB Planner later this summer.
