Board/Volunteer Experience:
I am a volunteer with New Leash on Life, a therapy dog organization in which I take my two therapy dogs around to visit residents.
I’m also a hospice volunteer.
I am in the flower ministry at church, delivering flowers to people who might have had a recent event.
Bio: I am fairly new to NAFB, but not to farming or to broadcasting. I started my radio career at the age of 19 in a college town (Weatherford, Oklahoma; SWOSU Bulldogs) and knew right then this was what I wanted to do. I grew up showing cattle and helping my dad out with the farm, so working on a radio station that had farm news and market reports was something I found appealing. Throughout my radio career, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people and artists, and I think NAFB would be an excellent opportunity for me to showcase my leadership skills to a completely new audience. I have truly enjoyed all my encounters with NAFB over my past two years of being involved, and I think this will be another excellent opportunity to meet new people and learn more from other farm broadcasters.
