Board Experience:  Hart serves on the National Association of Farm Broadcasters (NAFB) Foundation Auction Committee (2012-present) and the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Washington Watch Committee (2018-2019). She also is a co-chair for the Grand Forks Chamber Agribusiness Committee (2017-2019).

Bio:  Carah Hart reports agriculture’s business for the Red River Farm Network in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She’s been with the network since 2015. Hart started her reporting career at KMZU Radio in Carrollton, Missouri, as an NAFB Foundation intern in 2008. In 2018, she received the NAFB Horizon Award.

Hart is actively involved in the NAFB. Shortly after joining RRFN, Hart attended Leadership NAFB in Washington D.C. Additionally, she serves on  various NAFB planning committees. Hart also is a former Glenn Kummerow Scholarship recipient. 

Hart holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural journalism from the University of Missouri with an emphasis in broadcast. After graduation, she worked in public relations and project management, serving agriculture clients in the soybean, dairy, and beef checkoff programs. Hart also has explored agriculture and history in Ecuador, England, Germany, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Hart is the host of engAGe: a series for women in agribusiness, an RRFN podcast focused on building leadership and highlighting career successes. She also chairs the Grand Forks Chamber Agribusiness Committee. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiance (and as of October 11, 2019, husband) Nick and family at the lake, listening to Alan Jackson, and drinking Dr. Pepper.
