Airing on the Side of Agriculture

As Orion Samuelson (WGN, Chicago, Illinois) retires at the end of December, he will set a record for the longest on-air tenure of a broadcaster at the same station.

On October 4, 2020, Skip and Susan Davis quietly celebrated their 50^th year of marriage.

Alex Voichoskie-Hansen is a multimedia producer and farm broadcaster for KRVN Radio and the Nebraska Rural Radio Association. She started full-time in June after serving as an intern. She is nearing her third year working as a farm broadcaster for the company. 

“I’ve been in radio since 2000, but media has been in my family for three generations,” said Eric Fleming (KGLO, Mason City, Iowa). 

​The doors have swung open on Madison’s newest radio station, The Farm, 1550AM, and 97.7FM.

Not only will the music be filled with country favorites and the best tunes for the bonfire, but it will also feature one of the biggest names in agriculture in Wisconsin: the Fabulous Farm Babe, Pam Jahnke.

Stacey Smith (Management & Sales Council member, Watseka, Illinois) reports that WGFA and WIBK will proudly celebrate their 60^th anniversary in 2021. 

Jesse Allen (Jesse Stewart to those who have known him the last seven years) resigned in August from KGLO-AM 1300 and 93.9 KIA FM (Mason City, Iowa) to move to Nashville, Tennessee.

As Emily Buck (RFD-TV, Washington, D.C.) went for a walk around the National Mall and stood under the Washington Monument, it hit her just how blessed she is to be here.

In July, NAFB President-Elect Gale Cunningham and his wife, Beth, celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary.
