Lisa A. Adams, Principal with Sage Virtual Communications, is the recipient of the 2014 Professional Development Award of Excellence from the National Agri-Marketing Association. Adams was selected as this year’s winner in the Public Relations category. She accepted the award earlier this month at the organization’s fall conference in Chicago, Illinois.
A veteran in the agricultural communications field, Adams’ longstanding career has encompassed a variety of leadership positions with industry-leading agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi (Rumrill-Hoyt), Chiat, Bader Rutter, AdFarm and Woodruff Sweitzer. Shifting to agency ownership, Adams established Sage Virtual Communications in 2011 - a public relations entity exclusive to crop protection-based clientele, including ADAMA Agricultural Solutions.
An active member of the MoKan NAMA Chapter, Adams consistently serves as a judge for annual NAMA Student Marketing Competition. Over the course of her career, Adams has been a recipient, in conjunction with clients and agency partners, several Best of NAMA Awards. She is also an active National Association of Farm Broadcasting member. Adams served on the Board of Directors as the Allied Council Representative in 2012 and 2013, and continues to be active in the AIC Working Group.
Adams has a BS in Ag Communications from the University of Illinois and earned a MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
NAMA Professional Development Awards of Excellence are presented annually to industry professionals based on outstanding achievement in the areas of Marketing Communications; Product Management; Public Relations; and Sales.
