The National Association of Farm Broadcasting seeks candidates for the immediate opening of the NAFB News Service Editor position.

NAFB, a 501(c)6, was established in 1944 and is dedicated to serving the interest of the agricultural community and creating value for its broadcast member entities. NAFB is an established liaison between farm broadcasting and the agriculture community of companies and agencies.

The NAFB News Service is an “in-house” news service for NAFB Broadcast Council members. The News Service provides daily news and audio news releases to more than 170 Broadcast Council members located in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Each year, the News Service provides more than 2000 audio packages made up of member contributions, solicitations, enterprise reporting, and the distribution of paid client audio news releases.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, ambitious, organized, hardworking, and motivated to meet daily goals and deadlines. A person well-versed in agriculture policy, production agriculture, news gathering, story assignment & solicitation with strong writing, audio production (Adobe Audition) and digital publishing skills will excel at this position.

The successful applicant will oversee day-to-day operations of the News Service as outlined in the position description.
