From chapter FFA reporter to chairman of one of the most highly respected communications agencies in agriculture, Lyle Orwig (Allied Industry Council member, Hartland, Wisconsin) has left an indelible mark on hundreds of ag companies and professionals. The well-known ag communicator recently announced his retirement from the agency he co-founded with John Charleston in 1992 — then known as Charleston│Orwig and since rebranded as C.O.nxt.
As Orion Samuelson (WGN, Chicago, Illinois) retires at the end of December, he will set a record for the longest on-air tenure of a broadcaster at the same station.
Alex Voichoskie-Hansen is a multimedia producer and farm broadcaster for KRVN Radio and the Nebraska Rural Radio Association. She started full-time in June after serving as an intern. She is nearing her third year working as a farm broadcaster for the company.
The doors have swung open on Madison’s newest radio station, The Farm, 1550AM, and 97.7FM.
